The original Mafia game launched in 2002 has created a hardcore group of followers, that really enjoyed taking the role of a mob member during the 30s. It took 5 years for the developers, Illusion Softworks now known as 2KCzech, to announce that they were starting to work on a second part for this famous game.

  In the new installment of the game the action has moved to Empire Bay, another imaginary American city, in the 40s. We will take the role of Vito, a young Italian American, that has to work for the Mafia to subsist.

  During the game we will visit the 10 square miles that define Empire Bay, divided into 15 districts and 3 suburbs, to complete the missions we are entrusted, that will start with minor crimes (robbery and stealing cars) and that will get more and more difficult as we rise up the ranks of the "Family".

  In Mafia 2 we will have access to some of the weapons and vehicles from the original game, plus new ones that appeared during the period. We will be accompanied by Vito's best friend Joe Barbaro, and in some cases other memers of the mob.
